Wael

Meet Wael, the creative mind and driving force behind The Marrakesh York. With a rich background in hospitality spanning over 30 years, Wael's journey from humble beginnings in Egypt to opening successful restaurants like Middle Feast and Enoteca by L’Uva showcases his dedication and expertise.

His passion for culinary perfection and dedication to customer satisfaction shine through in every aspect of his work. Wael's leadership style focuses on building a strong team culture based on respect, trust, clear communication, and a shared vision for success. His track record of excellence and commitment to innovation make him a key player in the thriving hospitality industry, shaping the unique dining experience at The Marrakesh York.

Jamal

Meet Jamal, one of our three company directors, hailing from Marrakesh. With a passion for top-quality Moroccan cuisine, Jamal envisioned opening a restaurant in the UK when he moved here in 2006. Now, he has turned that dream into a reality by infusing the sights, sounds, and flavours of Morocco into our dining experience.

Jamal's guidance has led to a kasbah-style setting with locally sourced decor and furniture reflecting the vibrant textures of his homeland. He ensures an authentic dining adventure by blending traditional and modern dishes, embracing Moroccan serving customs, and entertaining guests in true Moroccan style.

Osama

Meet Osama, one of our three company directors, who brings a unique blend of skills and experiences to the team. With a background in medical physiotherapy yet a passion for cooking, Osama joined the team to create The Marrakesh York with the shared aim of offering a unique dining experience in York with quality food and cozy Moroccan-inspired decor.

Osama’s international exposure and sports therapy background enrich his perspective on business and culinary ventures, setting The Marrakesh York apart in the local dining scene.
